The Pool & Terrace: Your own saltwater plunge pool (cleaned twice weekly) with a shaded outdoor area facing the Pacific horizon. The Kitchen: Equipped for home cooking with a gas stove, refrigerator, purified drinking water dispenser, blender, and local Oaxacan coffee setup. Work & Wi-Fi: Uncapped Starlink connection (up to 300 Mbps) and a comfortable work desk with power outlets.

Adults-Only (18+): Because the terrace features open elevation drops and the pool is unfenced, Casa Kiva is strictly for adults (maximum 2 guests). Location & Getting Around: We are located on the ridge of Rancho Las Hamacas. It is a peaceful neighborhood with very little noise. The walk down to the beach and the town of San Agustinillo takes about 5-10 minutes. Nature & Climate: The house is designed to open up to the ocean breeze. As anywhere on the Oaxacan coast, you will share the area with birds, geckos, and other animals. Check-in: Self check-in with a lockbox on-site. We will send you the access code and directions the day before your arrival.

Casa Kiva is located in Rancho Las Hamacas, a peaceful residential enclave on the hillside just east of San Agustinillo. Tucked away from the coastal highway, the neighborhood is exceptionally quiet - the primary sounds you hear are ocean breakers and native birds. A scenic unpaved footpath leads straight down from the ridge to the quiet end of Playa San Agustinillo in about 5 minutes. Along the beach and the single main street of the village, you will find excellent local restaurants and casual cafes. The surf breaks and laid-back atmosphere of Mazunte (west) and Zipolite (east) are both within a 5- to 10-minute drive.

Walking: The beach and village are an easy 5-10-minute walk down via a quiet footpath. Walking back up involves a steady hill incline along an unpaved road. Taxis & colectivos: Local coastal taxis and open-back "colectivos" run frequently during the day along the main street between Mazunte, San Agustinillo, and Zipolite. Driving & Parking: Parking on the property is available upon request. Airports: We are roughly 50 minutes from Puerto Escondido Airport (PXM) and 1 hour from Huatulco Airport (HUX).
